Emily Wainwright RD, MPH is currently the Division Chief for the Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) Program at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).  She has been with the Agency since 1997 working in the Bureau for Global Health serving as a Technical Advisor for Child Survival in the Europe and Eurasia Region, Senior Technical Advisor for Infectious Diseases and Environmental Health, and a Technical Advisor for Micronutrients. In 2011 she joined the NTD Program.   Prior to holding positions at USAID, Ms. Wainwright worked with both the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC) in Bangladesh. Preceding her work in international health she served as a clinical nutritionist at Johns Hopkins Hospital and an assistant professor at the Nutrition, Education and Research Program at the University of Nevada, School of Medicine in Reno, NV.  She is a Registered Dietitian and holds a Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
